FMCG

Two connected Drupal platforms: a crisis management intranet that guides teams step by step through preparation and response, and a media monitoring site that tracks and distributes press coverage. Together, they give Ferrero's communications and crisis teams one structured system to stay ready and informed.

Challenges and Solutions

Crisis-response guidance was scattered across formats and channels, leaving teams without a clear path through each stage of an incident.

Built a step-by-step "step stone" checklist structure covering both crisis preparation and active crisis management.

Each stage of a crisis needed to carry different types of information, text, documents, video, phone numbers, and links.

Built customizable resource blocks per step, supporting mixed media and downloadable, printable documents.

Coordinating the right people quickly during a live crisis was difficult without a central reference.

Built a Crisis Management Team page and a Crisis Communication agenda listing PR, media, and outside agency contacts.

Stakeholders needed to find relevant coverage without combing through a full list.

Built a filters page for navigating monitored press content.

Coverage needed to reach the right people automatically rather than being manually circulated.

Built a newsletter function to distribute monitoring updates directly from the platform.

Result

Both platforms launched as fully hosted, production systems, handed over to Ferrero's teams alongside ongoing maintenance and support. Rather than one-off deliverables, they were built to run continuously: a crisis intranet ready to guide teams through any incident, and a media monitoring site actively tracking and distributing press coverage.
